Asilo político para venezolanos en España: Asesores Internacional informa sobre el nuevo protocolo humanitario

For a provisional period of two years, Venezuelan citizens residing in Spain can apply for the “political asylum” system for humanitarian reasons. This was explained by Leonardo Ferreira de Moraes, president of the Association for the Protection of Immigrants in the Balearic Islands (APIB), who confirmed that this measure is the result of coordination between the Ministry of the Interior and Caritas.

This international protection protocol is not based solely on political persecution, but also on the humanitarian emergency in Venezuela, and it allows beneficiaries to obtain residency and access essential services in Spain.

Ferreira emphasized the importance for Venezuelan individuals to be properly informed before starting the application process, as the political asylum status may have particularities depending on the case and the application channel.

Asesores Internacional has provided free legal advice to many Venezuelans in the Balearic Islands, facilitating access to this right and coordinating with humanitarian organizations to accompany each case with rigor and sensitivity.
